Dry and Comfortable, Happy and Healthy in Seattle

Posted by Marc  Published in Boating

Unexpected words to write regarding what I am doing and where I am . I have been lucky to have come to Seattle during an unprecedented streak of fall high pressure resulting in very fair weather for 4 days straight so far ,with no sign of rain for almost another week. I am looking out my hotel near the airport window at Mt Ranier with very few clouds and it is a breathtaking view without a doubt .

I have had a really good trip out here primarily to deliver a 25′ Ranger Tug to one of our regular customers from Montana , and also to visit the boat manufacturers we represent in Florida that are based here in Washington State . Those include C Dory, Defiance and Shamrock [Palmer Marine] Ranger Tugs , and Arima . Thats where the Happy and Healthy part of this blog entry’s title comes in .

As Bayliner/Brunswick is laying off many hundreds and possibly thousands of folks in this area ,most of  the companies I have mentioned are either growing/hiring or holding a sustainable pattern . I feel as though our product mix at Wefings Marine / Pilothouse Boats is a strong one .

There are new models being produced and production lines busy with tried and true products like the C Dory Tomcat and the Ranger 25 . At Arima they are building their smaller boats as they are a great choice for fisherpersons looking for superior quality products that are extremely efficient to operate .

Now I am very thankful to be associated with boat builders that are in this enviable position in this difficult market . There is a great benefit to staying the course building and selling fuel efficient and quality boats . We appreciate the customers and friends we get to meet and associate with , and the opportunity to stay happy, healthy, dry and comfortable in the boat business.
